Boys Birthday card using "Bleaching Technique" and Close To My Heart Windy Day

 

Have you tried using bleach on your Cards ?

 

Its a very simple technique to bleach the colour of the card stock using an Aqua Pen.

 

Above I have used ordinary cheap brand  'LEMON SCENTED' bleach.

(please note the left hand corner is from the flash of the camera)

I love our Close To My Heart Windy Day Stamp set, it was perfect

to use in this technique and the fact that I needed to make a tween boys birthday card.

 

N.B.  Whilst I have used bleach on my Acrylix stamp, I strongly recommend NOT TO USE Bleach

on them, as it softens the stamp.

Well I've been practicing again with my water pencils, this time concentrating

more on the shading as well as the colouring.

 

Close To My Heart  CHRISTMAS POST STAMP SET (D1610) is a great

stamp set to water colour with.  Im just loving our new range Christmas paper,

the paper used here is from the Yuletide range and Yuletide Assortments

 

Water colouring is not new, its been around for centuries.  Impressionist such

as Van Cogh made water colouring famous.  So almost 200 years later

and its fashion again.

I've been wanting to use The Country Born (D1543) stamp set for some time now

and water colouring with one of the stamps made it so easy to do.

 

Our glitter paper is awesome( cardstock weight) and we have a range of fantastic colours, I've used

Black for my wording in this card and our matching Black Shimmer Trim and Bronze Shimmer Trim.
